Jonathan Karber, M.S., L.M.F.T., L.P.C.-S.

Hi! If you are viewing this website, you've already made the important decision to seek out professional counseling services. It is equally important to partner with someone who will respect your faith values.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor.

I offer Christian, faith-based counseling services for clients who desire this approach. I realize not everyone desires faith-based services and will adjust my approach to meet you at your point of need.

However, please understand that my faith will still influence the direction that therapy will take because I cannot separate myself from my beliefs.

I received a Master's of Science degree in family therapy from Texas Woman's University. I've been in private practice since 2005.

I provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. Sessions are available both in-person, as well as online.

Areas of focus include marriage and family therapy, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, premarital therapy, and, pornography addiction.

My counseling style draws from a variety of therapy models such as Cognitive Behavioral, Systemic, and Solution-Focused therapies.

My faith is the foundation of my ethics and practice as a mental health professional.  Christianity is my personal frame of reference and it influences how I define morality and view relationships.

Since June of 2007, I have been associated with Stonegate Behavioral Health, serving children and teens, that are victims of abuse or neglect and have been placed into foster care.

Prior experience included working with Mental Health and Mental Retardation of Tarrant County for five years, where I served  adult clients with mental illness.

I also completed hundreds of hours of practicum work at Irving Family Advocacy Center where I counseled adolescents, families, couples, and individuals with a variety of concerns including parenting issues, marital conflict, step-family adjustment, self-esteem issues, substance abuse, divorce recovery, grief recovery, and sexuality.

In addition, I completed a practicum at Mansfield Independent School District where I worked with adolescents and families.
